Mouth Wide Open

I was riding in my company shuttle the other day and noticed that about a quarter of the people in the shuttle were napping with their mouths half open and started wondering why does this happen? It happens to me too, and I know because, well, because I know.

uhhh ... because they need to breathe!

At least that's why I do it. I sleep with my mouth open due to allergies ... even when I'm not exposed to the allergens now, I still sleep with my mouth open cause I'm used to it. It's definitely not a good habit. Wake up with a dry mouth. Will definitely shorten my lifespan.

Really? So you mean to say that everyone sleeps with their mouth open? I know that when I sleep in my bed I don't sleep with my mouth open, so your theory is not quite right.

Like uslacker99 said they need to breath due to allergies or it's just their habit like my mom she doesn't have any allergic problem but she always sleeps with her mouth open.
In my opinion it depends on sleeping positions. My mom might have some types of positions that keeps her mouth open. :)
